Nashik (Nasik) is the place where the next Kumbh Mela 2015
will be held at the banks of river Godavari. Kumbh mela in Nashik happens after
a period of 12 years. Around 10 million (1 crore) pilgrims are expected to
come in and take holy bath in the river Godavari to cleanse their body and
souls.
The Sadhus who visit the Kumbh in large numbers reside in the Tapovan which is situated at the left bank of river Godavari.
